Rolling Out New Agents for RCM Platform March 25, 2026 SAN DIEGO - Fresh off a year of double-digit growth across multiple segments of the health care industry XiFin, Inc., is going all in on artificial intelligence agents. The revenue cycle management software company reported 16.4% operational growth in its molecular diagnostics segment and 13.3% growth across its hospital segment. According to CEO Lâle White, the company also saw significant organic growth in pharmacies and pharmaceuticals. Total user volume of XiFin's AI-enabled Empower RCM software platform rose 21.1% during the year, which White argued was a reflection of both productivity aided by the company's expanded agentic AI features and the quality of XiFin's existing data infrastructure. "The data infrastructure itself has been very instrumental in making those AI agents that we're introducing very functional and results oriented, really providing excellent results in higher reimbursement levels, faster collections and just increased revenue," White said. XiFin primarily serves medical care providers, pharmacies and insurers by connecting data like patient records, billing and pricing information, eligibility information and insurance information into one software platform. Users can then use Empower's AI and machine learning features to make their workflows more efficient and reduce the time that clerical and supervisory staff spend on administrative tasks. Most recently, the company has focused on expanding agentic AI tools specifically developed to manage tasks like appeals, document extraction, insurance matching, patient out-of-pocket estimates and complex denial prioritization. The Empower platform already reduced manual labor by around one-third for most of XiFin's clients, but White said she expects that percentage to increase with the added agentic functionalities. "What we've really created is an infrastructure that allows not only our agents to be used on it, but our clients' own agents that they may create or other vendor agents on a very significant quality database that really allows those agents to be very productive and meaningful," she said. To bolster the company's expanding AI adoption, XiFin announced its appointment in February of Sanjay Kumar as its next chief technology officer. Kumar joins XiFin after serving as CTO for the sleep health and medical device company Resmed's residential care software business. Kumar's background also includes stints with Intuit and Teradata leading cloud computing and software engineering. "Sanjay... is very well versed in AI development and AI architecture of software and how enterprise software can be leveraged to really benefit from AI, and the other way around, how AI can benefit from an enterprise software product with a very strong quality data infrastructure," White said. According to a news release, Resmed will invest $30 million to build out a 446,500-square-foot facility in Greenwood, which is expected to add more than 100 new, high-wage jobs to the state. The company focuses on sleep, breathing and care delivered in the home. "Indiana's life sciences sector continues to attract new global and innovative leaders to the state," Braun said in the release. "Here in the crossroads of the U.S., Resmed will be centrally located and have access to robust infrastructure, helping the company serve customers more quickly and deliver life-changing solutions." The company anticipates hiring 100 employees for "high wage" positions, but Tuesday's announcement did not specify a general salary range for those jobs. The release noted the average annual salary within Indiana's life sciences sector is $148,000, citing BioCrossroads.
