Position Overview:

As a member of the Strategic Execution team, the AVP, Program Manager partners with key stakeholders to lead the delivery of Individual Markets priorities and strategic initiatives. You will work closely with project teams and key stakeholders to understand customer and user needs, resolve conflicts, remove barriers, and ensure deliverables are on-time and meet quality standards. This role will typically interface with a diverse mix of internal and vendor stakeholders, all working towards the goal of creating business value and delivering on commitments.

We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial and consultant outlook, has a systems thinking mindset, the ability to simplify the complex and act upon it, who is comfortable working in a dynamic team environment, who will embrace the opportunity to connect cross functionally and possesses excellent business partnering, negotiation and networking skills. This position will report to the VP, Individual Markets Portfolio Manager and would be based in Des Moines, IA, Hartford, CT or Batesville, IN.

Responsibilities:

Accountable for the overall application of assigned programs/projects in terms of strategic value and business alignment.
Oversee and ensure program deliverables are on time and on budget.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, Technology partners, Strategic Sourcing, and other key teams across the organization.
Drive and manage (directly or indirectly) all aspects of the program to ensure successful delivery (including SOWs, change management, approval of deliverables) of business objectives.
Prioritize and report on program updates and value capture plan with internal stakeholders for governance reviews.
Translate the business strategy, needs & requirements into clear direction for the project teams.
Drive and execute multiple projects at a time based on demand.
Define and create project approach, including project plans, budgets, targets, milestones and dependencies.
Partner with Portfolio Manager on annual discretionary planning and quarterly financial planning with Business Finance Officer and governance team
Lead stakeholder communications across assigned programs/projects. Ensure appropriate communications regarding issues and risks to drive decision making.
Serve as internal escalation point person on projects and ability to successfully resolve problems and issues.
Serve as subject matter expert and lead sponsor for designated program and projects and provide meaningful updates to business in laymen’s terms.
Budget and expense reporting as it pertains to the project portfolio by closely working with Business Finance Officer and Portfolio Manager.
Champion continuous core business capability improvement through timely adoption of innovative technologies, procedures, and processes.

Qualifications:

Minimum of fifteen (15) years experience in Project/Program Management roles, Insurance and Annuity experience helpful
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration or related field, PMP certification preferred
Proven experience with project management tools and techniques, Waterfall, Scrum, and Kanban delivery methodologies
Proven experience in project status reporting, RAID log documentation and reviews, Steering Committee documentation and management, Executive Sponsor reviews
Experience with managing project or program financials (hours reporting, SOWs, invoices, etc.) and vendor Management

Priority balancer, maintaining multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines
Working and leading in an Agile Delivery Mode
Solid grasp of software technologies and stacks

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office.

Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives.

The base salary range for this role is

$101,500—$193,500 USD

Global Atlantic reserves the right to modify the qualifications and requirements for this position to accommodate business needs and regulatory changes. Future adjustments may include obtaining specific licenses or certifications to comply with operational needs and conform to applicable industry-specific regulatory requirements, state and federal laws.
