Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking part-time (12 Month) candidates for the Apprenticeship program for Venture Global LNG. To be eligible for the Apprenticeship program you must be enrolled or have recently completed an accredited degree or certification program for this specified role.

General Description:

As a Maintenance Analyzer Apprentice, you will be required to complete a Venture Global LNG structured training program to become a skilled Maintenance Instrumentech. This training program will be a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training under the supervision of qualified, experienced Maintenance Instrumentech. 

As an Apprentice, some of the duties may include:

- Observing and assisting experienced Maintenance Instrumentechs in day-to-day tasks
- Learning how to use and understand Venture Global Documents which include policies, procedures, and P&ID’s
- Recording daily activities, reporting data, and assisting in maintaining records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
- Communicating with other Maintenance Instrumentechs and supervisors to ensure learning and communication is being effectively demonstrated

The length of an apprenticeship program can vary depending on the business needs. This apprenticeship term will be 12 months. During this time, the apprentice will receive a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training through mentorship with qualified personnel. Upon completion of the program, the apprentice will have gained the knowledge and skills needed to become a skilled Maintenance Instrumentech. Within the 12-month program the business may have job opportunities come up that the candidate can and will be evaluated for to fill the open positions.

Maintenance Instrumentation Apprentices requirements that must be met:

• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license before start date
• Successful completion of the degree with a 3.0 GPA prior to start date OR Honorable discharge from any 4-year military service
• Successful completion of a Craft Specific certification program prior to start date
• Pass a DOT background check, drug screening, physical exam and acquire TWIC card
• Must be available to work a shift schedule, including nights and weekends
