Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as assigned.
- Must not own or maintain routine contact with swine, birds, or cattle.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods on concrete floors.
- Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and lift at least 25 pounds continuously throughout the day.
- Ability to periodically lift up to 50 pounds.
- Follow all company safety rules and use proper personal protective equipment.
- Be authorized for lockout/tagout procedures according to assigned job duties.
- Complete ladder safety training and hearing conservation testing.
Responsibilities
- Clean the processing facilities nightly according to Herbruck’s Quality Standards.
- Follow all company Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points rules and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble equipment parts.
- Use and operate a power washer.
- Use and operate an air compressor to clean equipment.
- Wet and scrub equipment.
- Follow the assigned cleaning and sanitizing checklist.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
- Comply with animal welfare standards and report incidents of abuse, neglect, or breaches of biosecurity to preserve the health and welfare of the birds.
