Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical or Manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing or project experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action, with the ability to guide project teams and customers through the analysis.
  • Experience with problem solving, root cause analysis, leadership of multifunction technical teams, project management, technical writing, and cost estimating.
  • Background in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of explosive material ordnance devices and/or missile or launch vehicle systems, as well as experience developing manufacturing processes, is beneficial.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance and be capable of working on U.S. Department of Defense and International Traffic in Arms Regulations restricted product.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Product Engineers supporting the TiNi Value Stream.
  • Drive and support execution of the team’s projects across all areas.
  • Mentor and lead implementation of lean manufacturing processes.
  • Advocate for design for manufacturability on development programs.
  • Support risk assessments and mitigation plans, technical data package reviews, design reviews, bid and proposal activities, problem solving, and failure investigations.
  • Own the technical aspects of assigned product lines.
  • Work with the Production Manager to assign and prioritize work.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities, including lean cell conversion, statistical process control implementation, and single-minute exchange of die.
  • Support customer interface activities, problem resolution, and employee relations.
  • Manage and grow the team’s talent and capabilities to align with current and future company needs.
  • Facilitate a successful team-based organization.
