Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with distributed systems concepts (e.g., consistency, fault tolerance, and scalability). Experience designing, developing, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • 2 years of experience with C++, Java or Go development.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and enhancement of Google Cloud's quota management service, focus on reducing customer friction and improving usability.
  • Develop new ways for customers to understand and interact with quotas, including correlation analysis and app-centric views.
  • Address challenges related to scalability, reliability, and performance to ensure the quota management platform is robust and future-proof.
  • Work with product managers, and User Experience (UX) designers to define product specifications, implement projects, and provide technical guidance.
  • Coach team members, share your expertise, and provide constructive feedback to foster a collaborative and performing team environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience with designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs in a cloud environment, with an understanding of API gateways, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, and load balancing. Experience with network security and troubleshooting.
