Requirements
- A Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in a business or technical role focused on Store POS systems & Peripherals preferably Xstore POS or ORPOS
- 1+ Year of Java/Script-based test automation
Responsibilities
- Ensures timely and effective resolution to all POS support escalations by providing technical and procedural support
- Coordinates issue resolution with other support areas, as required
- Identifies escalation situations and escalates them timely and accurately
- Calls software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products
- Cross trains Helpdesk Associates with updated procedures
- Serve as rotating point of escalation for scheduled after-hours automation tasks
- Maintains accurate application and business processes documentation
- Deploy and support custom code and scripts as necessary to update and maintain POS application systems
- Build, deploy, maintain, and update Windows OS images for POS
- Maintain and support ASP .NET applications
- After-hours deployment of POS application patches and maintenance tasks
- After-hours or weekend support of high severity issues, provide resolution in a timely matter as needed
- Maintain and update accurate documentation of issue resolution, scripts, and store-specific information
- Identify areas that can be automated, develop and test scripts to automate day to day tasks
- Maintain intranet applications for stores and internal partners
