Amentum is now hiring for several Test Engineer (All Levels) positions in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction (FLAIR) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.
Plans and administers environmental, operational, or performance tests on aeronautical, electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, general industrial, experimental, automotive equipment, industrial machinery and equipment, controls, and systems, and other products and systems.
Designs and directs engineering and technical personnel in fabrication of testing and test-control apparatus and equipment.

Excludes paraprofessional positions.
Coordinates and directs engineering activities concerned with the development, procurement installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test, telemeter, record, and reduce test data.
Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
Directs and exercises control over operational, functional, and performance phases of tests.
Confers with scientific, engineering, and technical personnel to resolve testing problems, such as product or systems malfunctions, incomplete test data, and data interpretations considering such factors as conditions under which test was conducted and instrumentation, procedures, and phase of test used to obtain and record data.
Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by engineering and management personnel.
Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions.
Assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs.
Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports.
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required.
1-10+ years of experience.
8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $250,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
