Role Summary

Splunk AppDynamics, a leader in observability solutions for both cloud and on-premises environments, empowers customers with end-to-end visibility across their entire application ecosystems, cloud, on-premises, or hybrid. Our team is dedicated to developing, maintaining, and supporting SaaS and on-premises offerings within the observability product suite.

We're looking for a Platform Engineer to build upon our application and data platform as we continue to innovate on application observability. We move fast and iterate quickly. Meet the Team (Optional)

Self-Hosted is the heart of the AppDynamics on-premises architecture. We provide the platform for applications to process millions of metrics on customers on-premises solutions. We provide solutions which can be self hosted on bare metal, VMware, ESXi, AWS, Azure, KVM and Kubernetes. We help applications to ingest, process and store all the data that power the dashboards that our customers rely on for observing their infrastructure and their applications.

What you'll get to do

Craft and build highly scalable platform solutions
Work with a team of extraordinarily capable and dedicated peers, all the way from engineering to product management and customer support
Work in an open environment, work together to get things done and adapt to the team's changing needs
Leverage technologies including Kafka, Elasticsearch, Docker, and Kubernetes across different on-premises and cloud environments like AWS and Azure

Must-have Qualifications

5+ years of platform engineering experience in designing and developing highly scalable, distributed applications, products, and services.
Proficiency in GoLang, Python and Java programming language along with Shell scripting.
Good understanding of tech stacks like container registry, k8s ingress, certificates, Elasticsearch, Kafka, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Helm Charts
Understanding of different build pipeline like Jenkins/TeamCity, managing k8s workflows (MicroK8S experience is a big plus) and Ubuntu OS.
Understanding of microservices design with expertise in Dockers and Kubernetes.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changing requirements, scope, and priorities.

Added advantage of having an experience in working on Cloud Observability Space.
