Summary of Job Duties:
Support the daily operation of the Center for Simulation Innovation, maintain Human Simulators and lab equipment, manage Simulation Lab supplies, perform Pre-Simulation activities, execute Simulation experience, perform post-simulation activities, provide technical support, maintain documentation and resources, and maintain Professional Development. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
Required Education and or Experience:
- High school diploma;
- Currently enrolled in the AAS nursing program at the UA Little Rock School of Nursing.
Preferred Education and or Experience:
- Simulation, nursing, and/or medical experience is preferred by not required.
Job Duties:
- Supporting Daily Operations of the Center for Simulation Innovation (CSI);
- Maintaining Human Simulators and Lab Equipment;
- Managing Simulation Lab Supplies;
- Performing Pre-Simulation Activities;
- Executing Simulation Experience;
- Performing Post-Simulation Activities;
- Technical Support;
- Maintaining Documentation and Resources;
- Maintaining Professional Development.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic simulation principles;
- Knowledge of basic simulation equipment;
- Knowledge of basic simulation technologies and audiovisual equipment;
- Ability to ensure appropriate setup and breakdown of simulation skills and scenarios including manikins, task trainers, hospital equipment, and supplies;
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs;
- Ability to effectively communicate with simulation faculty, staff, and students;
- Ability to anticipate needs and initiate tasks without direct supervision;
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing simulation demands as needed;
- Ability to maintain simulation center cleanliness;
- Ability to professionally conduct simulation center tours.
