Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university preferred
- Proven experience selling chemical sanitation programs and/or food ingredients, processing aids or commodities
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience working in the food and/or dairy industry
- Ability to prioritize while managing multiple customers and prospects
- Ability to work in a matrix environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and other job-related software
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English
Responsibilities
- Achieving annual margin goals through the full sales cycle
- Developing and executing a strategic business development plan
- Collaborating with Technical Services and Field Services
- Providing business activity summaries and sales funnel updates
- Creating business analyses and profit modeling
- Maximizing time in the field to expedite account closures
- Ensuring account information is updated in SalesForce/CRM system
- Establishing key partnerships with industry experts
- Negotiating long-term purchase agreements
- Identifying and closing new opportunities within the region
- Attending trade shows and industry events
- Coordinating customer requirements with internal teams
- Upholding company standards of excellence
- Participating in training activities
