Requirements
  • A valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A is required.
  • A current X endorsement combining Hazmat and Tanker is required.
  • A Tanker endorsement (N) is required.
  • At least two years of verifiable tanker-driving experience within the last five years is required.
  • Candidates must be at least 23 years old.
  • Candidates must have a clean motor vehicle record and strong safety record.
  • Candidates must have no DUI or OWI on record within the last five years.
  • Candidates must not be prohibited in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
  • Candidates must have no at-fault or preventable fatal or rollover accident within the last five years.
  • Candidates may have no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
  • Candidates may have no more than two Commercial Safety Alliance moving violations in the last 18 months.
  • Candidates must have no falsification on the driver’s application.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical, drug screening, and background check.
  • Candidates must complete at least one week of new-hire in-person training.
  • Candidates must attend quarterly mandatory safety meetings.
  • Candidates must complete General Awareness testing in accordance with 49 CFR 172, Part H.
  • Candidates must comply with the Drug and Alcohol Policy and Department of Transportation requirements.
  • Candidates must be dependable, safety-minded, and capable of working independently.
  • Candidates must be willing to work flexible schedules, including 24/7 operations when needed.
  • Candidates must comply with RCMS certification and health, safety, and environmental policy requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Safely operate tanker trucks transporting bulk liquid materials.
  • Load and unload bulk liquid materials using hoses, pumps, and valves while following strict safety protocols.
  • Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain accurate trip records, logs, and inspection reports.
  • Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers.
  • Follow Department of Transportation, Environmental Protection Agency, and all applicable safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Represent the company professionally during customer interactions.
  • Report incidents and accidents and participate in injury investigations.
  • Use forward-facing cameras on company and contractor equipment as required.
  • Operate governed company equipment.
  • Follow the HM 232 Compliance and Emergency Response Plan.
  • Use provided personal protective equipment according to replacement-policy guidelines.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Hazmat endorsement (H) is preferred; candidates without one must obtain it within 90 days of hire, with assistance available.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential card is preferred, or must be obtained after hire.
