Responsibilities
  • Create detailed commissioning plans, checklists, and schedules for HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, design drawings, submittals, code and other industry standards.
  • Liaison with personnel performing installation, startup, and commissioning of HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure all equipment is installed and operating according to design specifications, manufacturers and guidelines, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure commissioning activities are integrated into the overall project timeline.
  • Participate in project meetings to coordinate work and resolve any issues related to system performance and commissioning.
  • Witness system testing and performance verification to ensure all HVAC and mechanical systems meet performance criteria for efficiency, safety, and reliability.
  • Prepare comprehensive commissioning documentation, including functional performance tests, commissioning reports, and as-built documentation.
  • Track and record all commissioning activities and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve issues with HVAC and mechanical systems during commissioning.
  • Coordinate corrective actions with in-house personnel, contractors, and suppliers to resolve any deficiencies or equipment malfunctions.
  • Assist in providing training to building operators and maintenance staff on the operation and maintenance of HVAC and mechanical systems as required by project specifications.
  • Ensure that all operational manuals, warranties, and maintenance documentation are provided to the client at handover.
