Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Law is required.
  • A minimum of 13 years of experience at a law firm, as in-house counsel, and/or in legal outsourcing is required.
  • Expert-level understanding of commercial and legal contractual risks and the ability to provide business-oriented legal advice is required.
  • Fluency in English with strong oral and written communication skills is required.
  • Experience managing end-to-end projects and teams on function-specific processes or areas, working with internal and external teams, and understanding delivery requirements is required.
  • Experience with commercial agreements, legal and compliance fundamentals, corporate business practices, and contracting regulations is required.
  • Experience using technology, tools, and databases is required.
  • The ability to work across cultures and locations throughout a global organization is required.
  • Travel may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate high-value and highly complex supplier and buyside agreements and related documentation for goods and services including contractors, human resources support, information technology and telecommunications, marketing and communications, workplace support, and software as a service.
  • Address complex contract queries and matters involving negotiations, obligations, and revisions; identify risks and issues; and recommend solutions.
  • Manage internal stakeholders including deal teams, solution architects, procurement, human resources, workplace, finance, and marketing and communications.
  • Strategize with company executives before vendor negotiations and represent the company's interests with vendor negotiating teams on complex, high-stakes contract reviews.
  • Act as the legal point of contact and help stakeholders understand contractual clauses, their interpretation, and their applicability to business opportunities.
  • Advise the business on contractual risks that may affect business operations.
  • Conduct gap analyses and create legal risk assessments; identify non-negotiable clauses; and recommend ways to minimize or mitigate risks.
  • Educate business teams and other stakeholders about vendor contracting practices and risk management.
  • Structure legal transactions advantageously from contracting and business perspectives and manage escalations.
  • Work autonomously across categories and complexities of vendor and client agreements, including reviewing, advising, and negotiating legal issues.
  • Assign and manage tasks for the team.
  • Manage serious or unresolved issue escalations and keep interested parties informed.
  • Consult with and escalate unresolved contractual, business, or resource-positioning issues to a senior director.
  • Collaborate with functional leads and sub-leads to develop capabilities and create efficiencies.
  • Manage the team and its performance-related activities, including supervising direct reports, rewarding high performance, correcting deficiencies, managing conflict, and achieving team utilization levels.
  • Supervise management of SharePoint and communication records and ensure the creation of checklists and process documents.
  • Audit team members' work, report identified gaps to leadership, and ensure gaps are closed.
  • Apply company approval processes, the Code of Business Ethics, data privacy and information security requirements, anti-corruption laws, and related policies to procurement and corporate-function deals.
  • Create and develop training materials for the team and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement new team training, and lead and support initiatives within the group.
  • Develop and implement best practices, lessons learned, playbooks, toolkits, and packaged knowledge on vendor contracting and business issues.
  • Incorporate relevant company, client, and industry developments into vendor contracting practices.
  • Support reviews of local and global data privacy initiatives and identify risks under local law and company policies.
  • Lead process improvements and develop guidelines, handbooks, knowledge materials, checklists, and process and tool documents.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to develop new tools or enhance existing tools.
  • Drive recruitment for the team, including conducting interviews with Human Resources.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members, manage direct reports, resolve conflicts, provide feedback, and lead talent discussions.

Accenture drops LearnVantage focus, shifts $9B to cybersecurity and mid-market expansion

Accenture is shifting its growth strategy, de-emphasising LearnVantage, a learning and training business it built and promoted heavily in 2024. The company mentioned LearnVantage only once on its June 2026 earnings call, listing it amongst AI enablers rather than highlighting it as a standalone growth driver. Meanwhile, Accenture is redirecting resources toward cybersecurity, which has grown from $700 million in fiscal 2016 to $10 billion in fiscal 2025. The company is acquiring a majority stake in an operational technology security specialist, alongside two smaller firms, combining them into a platform for critical infrastructure. These assets generate $208 million in annual recurring revenue, growing at 48%. Accenture's acquisition budget for fiscal 2026 is approximately $9 billion against $73.1 billion in trailing twelve-month revenue. The company has also launched Accenture Edge, targeting mid-market companies. The stock is down 24.3% over the past year.

Accenture acquires Dutch SAP partner McCoy to boost mid-market AI and ERP capabilities

Accenture has agreed to acquire McCoy, a Dutch SAP transformation partner specialising in mid-market companies. Upon closing, McCoy will join Accenture Edge, the firm's mid-market business serving companies with annual revenues between $300 million and $3 billion. Founded in 2012, McCoy operates from the Netherlands with offices in Spain and the Philippines. The company employs over 380 professionals who design, implement and manage SAP solutions across ERP, data and business applications. McCoy holds SAP Gold Partner status and serves clients in high-tech, manufacturing, public sector, utilities and retail. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture Edge's position in the EMEA mid-market whilst expanding SAP modernisation capabilities in the Netherlands. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
