Machine Learning Engineer
Sunnyvale, CA

Responsibilities:

• Implement deep-learning-based classification systems for identifying, characterizing, and classifying various farm-related objects using images and videos;
• Explore and develop new methods for improving detection performance and increasing the speed of processing;
• Work with the software team to transition processing from desktop/server class machines to real-time, field robotic systems;
• Work with systems software engineers to help architect and develop data processing and annotation pipelines for continuous system monitoring and improvement;
• Process or interpret signals or sensor data;
• Debug robotics programs;
• Build, configure, or test robots or robotic applications;
• Create back-ups of robot programs or parameters;
• Provide technical support for robotic systems;
• Develop computer vision algorithms using cameras to detect and recognize objects using images;
• Develop computer vision and image processing algorithms, software and tools on large scale server class machines;
• Develop efficient data processing algorithms to process large-volumes of machine data to monitor and improve machine performance;
• Develop efficient algorithms and software features using object oriented programming to improve quality of products.
• Must live within normal commuting distance of worksite and must live near major airport. 10% frequency for travel. 

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotic Systems or related field or foreign academic equivalent plus 3 years of related experience.
• Required skills:
  • Develop computer vision algorithms using cameras to detect and recognize objects using images (3 years);
  • Develop computer vision and image processing algorithms, software and tools on large-scale server class machines (3 years);
  • Develop efficient data processing algorithms to process large-volumes of machine data to monitor and improve machine performance (3 years);
  • Develop efficient algorithms and software features using object oriented programming to improve quality of products (3 years).

Full time. $138,000 - $228,000/year.
