Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in science, pharmacy, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
  • Experience with shipping and logistics of GMP materials, clinical supplies, and managing cold chain/ultra cold chain operations
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic start-up environment
  • Experience with Cell and Gene Therapy CMC development
  • Global logistics, import/export or customs brokerage
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships and supply agreements with critical suppliers and logistics providers
  • Serve as point of contact between external partners and internal teams
  • Identify, forecast, resolve, and escalate supply constraints, risks, and issues
  • Develop strategies, solutions, troubleshooting, and maintaining operational oversight for shipments of GMP materials and clinical trial material
  • Identify weak points in the supply chain, and establish the operating model, relationships, tools, and processes for scalable and sustainable external supply chain and logistics
  • Liaise directly with manufacturing sites to identify and resolve supply issues impacting planned manufacturing campaigns
  • Develop operational roadmap, KPIs, and engagement models with critical suppliers, negotiate and drive performance
  • Collaborate with members of supply chain and other internal experts to develop and maintain demand forecasts for selected materials sourced from critical suppliers
  • Contribute to strategy and drive execution to mitigate enterprise risks associated with top tier suppliers
  • Operationalize mitigation plans including stage-appropriate relationship maturation
  • Represent Supply Chain in operational and executive level governance with critical suppliers
  • Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Business Development, and Site Operations teams to develop enterprise approach to external supply and logistics
