Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Allied Health.
  • Expert knowledge of child development and the ability to identify developmental issues.
  • A proven track record supporting families and children with developmental delays or disabilities, including implementing effective strategies for families to practise at home and in other settings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach, early childhood intervention best-practice principles, and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-informed supports in partnership with families to help them achieve their goals.
  • Use assessments, observations, and knowledge of child development to tailor support options for each child and family.
  • Empower families, caregivers, and professionals by coaching them to build skills and confidence to support children in everyday life.
  • Connect children and families with their communities so they can be included and participate in chosen settings and activities.
  • Maintain thorough records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals in the NDIA business system.
  • Guide families through the application, implementation, and funding processes for NDIS plans.
Desired Qualifications
  • SPARK Communication certification through Hanen.
  • Group and individual supervision, ongoing training, leadership development, and opportunities to upskill in early intervention.
