Business Area
We help brands and media organisations engage and monetise sports fans with next-generation digital advertising, content and broadcast services. Whether it’s running marketing campaigns on behalf of sports teams or brands or working with leagues to create personalised experiences for their fans, we are pushing the boundaries of sports entertainment. We also offer a leading creative performance platform that sits within our Media & Engagement product set. The technology we use collates live data, such as real-time sports update and even weather data to build and distribute content across Meta, Twitter and Snapchat
The Role
This role sits within the expanding Media and Fan Engagement division where we help brands and publishers engage and monetise sports fans with personalised campaigns and content they will love.
Reporting into Director of Client Growth, as a Client Partner you’ll join our team of consultative experts that manage, grow and extend our partnerships with many of the leading digital advertisers in the world.
You’ll have the chance to directly contribute to the fast growth of Genius Sports by growing our existing client base of 100+ advertisers who invest with us every month. To accomplish this, you’ll need to thrive in a multi-stakeholder, consultative partnership, and can not only hold your own in a C-suite environment, but consistently build deep relationships with senior client stakeholders and the top Performance Marketers in the industry.
The ideal candidate will have some commercial experience, with a preference towards digital programmatic advertising and social creative strategy with a focus on the renewal and expansion of existing clients. You will partner with our Account Manager and Strategy teams in delivering key performance objectives, navigating clients’ orgs as well as Genius Sports’ org to solve cross-functional problems and deliver growth and value at every touch point.
Main Responsibilities
- Engage, renew and grow our existing client base across Genius Sports extensive product list and capabilities – cross and upselling is key
- Work closely with Account Management and Strategy teams to help unlock opportunities across key clients and contributing and/or leading tier 1 client strategy meetings (PCAs, QBRs etc..)
- Own the commercial relationship between Genius Sports and our clients and build deep relationships with multiple key senior stakeholders at each client
- Communicate and continuously reinforce how Genius Sports drives revenue, what our competitive advantage is, and why it is worth the investment
- Obsessively, and proactively, find ways to drive more value for clients and grow their businesses
- Successfully represent Genius Sports in high-level negotiations with key decision makers
- Become an industry, product and marketing expert
Required Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, consulting or customer success in digital media / advertising/ programmatic
- Good exposure across programmatic advertising, social and / or creative strategy, particularly around DCO (dynamic creative optimisation)
- Proven success in managing senior stakeholder relationships with clients or partners
- Demonstrated track record working in a rigorous, results-driven role that directly impacted the growth of a business
- Empathetic and persuasive; a strong mix of emotional intelligence and business savvy
- Ability to multitask - tackle projects with limited direct input or oversight; work with uncertainty and manage through many priorities and opportunities at once
- Expertise in advertising and marketing technology is preferred; consultative sales is a plus
- A dedicated focus on being a strong team player, with ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.
- A quick learner who is keen to grow and expand on their skills across a variety of different focused products and solutions.
- Experience in ad operations would be advantageous and understanding of the technical nuisances involved in campaign management.
- A keen interest in sports advantageous but not mandatory
