Requirements
  • 15+ years related experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Property, Casualty, Workers’ Compensation coverages
  • Specific experience with due diligence workstreams
  • College degree
  • Completion of one or more CPCU exams preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytics and ability to think strategically and work in a highly organized fashion
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Computer literacy especially Excel and Word
  • Valid insurance licenses required
Responsibilities
  • Work with our Private Equity partners at the inception of the transaction process engaging the broader HUB transaction team (Property & Casualty, Employee Benefits, Retirement, Transactional Risk) to establish a diligence kick-off call
  • Ensure the HUB transaction team has been granted data-room access and continuously monitor the data-site(s) to ensure information is received and disseminated amongst the HUB transaction team as needed
  • Create a 3rd party insurance diligence checklist and continuously work with external resources to request outstanding information necessary to conduct diligence
  • Review the insurance program of the Target Company to identify material Liabilities (un-insured or otherwise) that would impact the Buyer’s perspective on the business and expeditiously communicate same to the Buyer
  • Prepare summary comparison exhibits in Excel format outlining existing and proposed program structures from both a coverage and pricing standpoint
  • Create detailed insurance exhibits in Excel format to include pricing and exposure exhibits/comparisons, summary of terms and conditions and other pertinent deal information as necessary
  • Construct and present consolidated findings and recommendations in a detailed written presentation (generally in Power Point) for all HUB workstreams engaged in the diligence process
  • Participate in periodic meetings with the national Financial Institution / Private Equity practice fostering shared knowledge and ideas to improve our diligence capabilities across the HUB enterprise
