- Participate in the day-to-day health and safety program by working safely at all times, using required personal protective equipment, ensuring authorized work is completed safely, utilizing required controls to prevent hazard exposure, and participating in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives.
- Report all unsafe acts and conditions, incidents, near misses, and workplace injuries or illnesses according to company procedure.
- Repair or replace solenoids, cylinders, motors, filters, regulators, oilers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits using schematics.
- Properly size fuses and contactors and cross-reference electrical parts.
- Set up and program variable frequency drives and apply basic programmable logic controller skills.
- Verify instrumentation, sensors, and electrical motors through appropriate testing methods.
- Perform advanced welding of pipe or general fabrication.
- Troubleshoot, rebuild, repair, or replace pumps, gearboxes, pneumatic cylinders, actuators, solenoids, filters, regulators, oilers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot and reconfigure pneumatic circuits.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance as assigned.
- Assist with basic preventive maintenance procedures for equipment and basic general housekeeping standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience and knowledge with computerized maintenance management systems.
Richardson International handles grain globally and turns crops like canola and oats into food ingredients. It started in Kingston, Ontario as a grain trader and expanded west with a network of grain elevators, later creating Pioneer Grain Company in 1913. In 2013 it bought large portions of Viterra’s assets, enabling vertical integration across elevators, mills, and port terminals.
