Requirements
  • Proficiency in using claims processing systems JIVA and PerformPRO, including documenting in both systems using established workflow processes, sending letters to members and providers through PerformPRO, and completing items in the department task queue for all COTO Department programs.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor phone queue and answer calls generated by members and providers, forwarding higher complexity and/or clinical inquiries to the COTO pharmacist or COTO Department Manager as appropriate.
  • Provide knowledgeable and courteous member/provider customer assistance regarding COTO Department programs and pilots.
  • Act as the primary resource for outbound call needs including demographic updates, refill reminder updates, scheduling of patient consultations, and various member/provider outreach campaigns.
  • Perform and document general member history assessment using the department’s documentation platform; record patient comments and inquiries; review and update member demographics.
  • Fax or mail interactive consultations completed by clinical staff to members and providers, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Review returned mail, update as needed, document information according to department policies, and resolve issues as necessary.
  • Assign interactive consultation requests to clinical staff for member calls generated through queue; ensure DTM task queue is up-to-date and technician tasks are completed timely.
  • Follow established process workflows for inbound/outbound calls generated within the department.
  • Administratively support the COTO Area including handling correspondence, maintaining calendars and mailboxes.
  • Report issues with the PerformPRO application to the COTO Department Manager and/or Analysts.
  • Forward member inquiries outside the scope of COTO to the appropriate resource using the call tree.
  • Comply with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and URAC Medication Therapy Management/Dispensing Technology Management Standards.
  • Perform other job-related duties and projects as assigned.
