- Three years of recent progressive leadership or management experience.
- A Master of Science in Nursing or a related field if already holding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; candidates currently pursuing a master's degree must obtain it within one year of hire. Either the bachelor's or graduate degree must be in Nursing.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
- A current New York State registered nurse license.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Manage patient-care delivery across all hospital units during night shifts.
- Serve as a clinical resource and administrator in the absence of unit leaders or when care-related issues arise.
- Cover the per diem night shift from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
- Certification in a specialty area.
- American Nurses Credentialing Center-approved national board certification.
