Requirements
- A pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy is required.
- A minimum of one year of hospital or community pharmacy experience is required.
- The pharmacist must be licensed to practice in the State of Wisconsin.
- Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications are required.
- The role requires pharmaceutical knowledge and skills to provide care to adult and adolescent age groups and specific patient populations.
- The role requires knowledge of computerized pharmacy systems, special prescription delivery systems, third-party payors, and fiscal reimbursement related to ambulatory care practices.
- The ability to learn computer and application skills applicable to the role is required.
- The ability to interact with and work around people is required.
- The ability to make judgments in demanding situations is required.
- The ability to react to frequent changes in duties and workload is required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
- The ability to listen empathetically and logically organize details is required.
Desired Qualifications
- Additional education is preferred.
- ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Year 1 residency training is preferred.
- Long-term care consultation experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of clinic-based operations is preferred.
- Board of Pharmacy certification is preferred.
