- 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role, with a preference for in-house accounting experience

- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax reporting requirements
- Power user of modern finance tools such as Excel, Stripe, Bill, and Quickbooks
- Managed audits with end-to-end ownership of the process
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Comfortable in the dynamic, fast-paced environment of a healthcare technology startup
- Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, tax reporting, and variance analyses
- Oversee Accounts Payable by ensuring operations can scale concurrent with business growth
- Ensure proper internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets, monitor financial performance, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead the annual audit process, in partnership with external auditors, and ensure we are "audit-ready" at all times
- Manage all accounting functions for multiple entities and locations
- Be a key contributor to the culture of innovation, constantly exploring ways to push the boundaries of healthcare
- Familiarity with subscription or membership-based business models is an advantage
- Experience with healthcare accounting is an advantage
- Proven experience as an early finance hire or sole contributor at a high growth organization
