  • Bachelor's in architecture
  • Master's in architecture preferred
  • Current US Architectural Registration preferred
  • 15 years minimum experience in a design leadership role
  • Minimum of 3 years leading others in a design studio or design practice segment
  • Additional accreditation and/or training relevant to this role preferred, including LEED
  • Design portfolio of significant built and unbuilt work
  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Business acumen and proven ability to define and execute strategy
  • Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully
  • Travel required
Responsibilities
  • Participating in the leadership of the markets and defining its new place in the industry
  • Performing in a lead design role in all phases of project design
  • Creating innovative design concepts that synthesize clients' culture, goals, and aspirations
  • Preparing and directing the preparation of client presentation materials
  • Integrating performance-based and sustainable design strategies into design solutions
  • Engaging in activities to promote the brand locally, regionally, and nationally
  • Mentoring and growing emerging professionals toward future creative leadership
  • Recruiting and retaining design talent
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Building client trust and loyalty
  • Collaborating in bringing in work
  • Contributing to top-line success with an expectation of $1M in net signed fees in the first 12 months and $2M in successive years
