The Team
Financial Times Live (FT Live) is the conferences and events division of the Financial Times newspaper and its group publications. Our mission is to bring our global executive audiences the very latest in knowledge and opinion, and connect them to one another.
Chaired by senior FT journalists, the 200-plus core events, strategic forums and digital webinars organised by FT Live every year gather pre-eminent public and private sector decision-makers, visionaries and strategists from the world’s most important economies and industries for agenda-setting debates that cover the key issues of our time.

What You’ll Work On
This internship opportunity will be pertinent to an individual interested in exploring a career in the events space. In this role, you will support the content, marketing, and event delivery teams by:
- Conducting desk and phone research to determine potential topics and speakers for our existing and new events;
- Writing copy for event agendas and helping to recruit speakers;
- Writing marketing copy for websites, sponsor marketing packs, emails, social media and other channels;
- Assisting with creating social media cards and other digital marketing assets;
- Managing website updates for content and marketing elements;
- Helping with event delivery on the day (on backend if digital, or at in-person events), including but not limited to, support at registration desk, liaising with VIP speakers, FT journalists and delegates, producing event highlights for the social media team, managing the Q&A sessions, and working with the videographer and photographer.
- Some elements of the internship can be tailored to suit the candidate’s interests and aspirations.
- Individuals with varied backgrounds and skill sets will be considered for this internship role, however preference will be given to those with strong research and writing experience.

This is a paid internship at $16.50 per hour.
Application Process
- The internship will be full time from June 2nd 2025 - Aug 8th 2025. Before applying, please ensure you will be available on these dates.
- This is a hybrid internship, meaning you are required to work from our New York office at least 2 days per week, the rest of the week can be from home.
