Requirements
  • Graduation from a law clerk or legal administration program, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience with the end-to-end real estate transaction cycle is required.
  • Provide exceptional phone service and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and prioritization abilities, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy office environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of basic mathematical principles.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in protecting confidential information.
  • Have intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Be flexible to work a regular rotating late shift until 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to clients through the portal, email, and phone, responding to inquiries within specified timeframes.
  • Develop internal and external partnerships to enhance the overall customer service experience.
  • Read and understand title searches from multiple provinces and make necessary amendments to internal records while consistently applying underwriting guidelines to all files.
  • Manage issues and title discrepancies with lender representatives, including lenders and mortgage specialists.
  • Issue Commitments to Insure within corporate policies and guidelines and documented service-level agreements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate and lender policies and procedures and apply them as applicable.
  • Prepare applicable documents, including mortgage document packages and title change documents, according to respective lender program requirements.
  • Request and review payout statements from other financial institutions and calculate penalties, per diems, and payout amounts due on closing.
  • Action lender reports as required.
