  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience for Draftsman 3
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience for Draftsman 4
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience designing or checking mechanical parts and assemblies and drawings
  • Strong understanding of drafting and modeling standards in accordance with ASME Y14.xxx standards
  • Familiarity with industry and DoD design standards including MilSpec, NAS, SME, ASME
  • Strong understanding of CAD and product data structure, configuration management practices, technical data packages IAW MIL-DTL-31000, engineering change management practices, and Bills of Material
  • Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining and assembly processes to support design activities
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Associate degree in a related technical discipline
Responsibilities
  • 50% CAD design, drawing, and model checking across multiple programs
  • 20% Support development of common drawing practices and techniques
  • 20% Maintain database of common components and approved vendors
  • 10% Education/Training of personnel to ensure use of correct design formats and techniques
Desired Qualifications
  • Machine shop, sheetmetal shop or cable harness manufacturing experience a plus
