ChargePoint operates one of the largest electric vehicle (EV) charging networks in the world, primarily in North America and Europe. The company provides charging solutions for a variety of clients, including commercial businesses, fleet operators, and individual EV owners. ChargePoint's network consists of 118,000 charging locations, and it generates revenue through the sale of charging hardware, subscription-based software services, and maintenance support. Unlike many competitors, ChargePoint follows a capital-light business model, allowing it to expand its network without heavy investments in physical assets. With over 70% of the networked level 2 charging market in North America, ChargePoint aims to support the growing demand for reliable EV charging infrastructure as more people and businesses transition to electric vehicles.
