Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all work instructions and training.
  • 3 years or more technical experience in manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, Assembly & Test, or Quality Related Field.
  • Must be familiar with fabrication processes, and end item functional test requirements to identify sources of variation in these processes.
  • Familiar with AS9100 specifications strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with computer programs (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Responsibilities
  • Inspection plans, quality plans, supports auditing functions, and/or evaluates supplier performance.
  • Contributing to the planning, implementation, and administration of cost-effective Quality Programs, assuring that a system is in place which will meet contractual quality requirements.
  • Inspection planning and statistical analysis work is focused on variation reduction to improve productivity, in process yield and efficiency of fabrication activities.
  • Collecting and analyzing data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
  • Implement and integrate inspection plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection.
  • Frequent personal contact with customers and teams require critical interpersonal skills, writing skills, tact, and persuasiveness.
  • Implementing of statistical process control plans, writing of failure analysis reports, performing preliminary material review, providing customer interface, audit support, configuration control activities, traceability documentation, returned unit support, and contamination control activities.
  • Generate inspection reports and non-conformances using internal tools (TipQA).
  • Support on-site customer inspections, and determine non-conformances based on industry standards.
  • Work independently and be proactive in tackling tasks and getting them to closure.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in reading blueprints or equivalent using precision measuring equipment and working with various quality standards.
  • First Article Inspection (FAI) experience.
  • Experience with nonconformance tracking tools such as TIPQA or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Quality or similar organization, preferably in aerospace industry.
  • Experience with companies that produce electrical or electronics products.
  • Able to work with computer software tools.
  • Ability to work independently, with self-driven approach and commitment to providing excellent customer support (Internal and external).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal/people skills.
  • Associate degree preferred.
