Requirements
  • Operational leadership in a regulated sector, such as diagnostics, food tech, medical devices, or consumer health hardware.
  • Experience scaling physical product operations from tens to thousands of units per month, ideally in a startup moving from Series A to Series C.
  • Track record of building from scratch: systems, teams, processes, and vendor networks, not just managing inherited structures.
  • Hands-on leadership of internal teams and external partners, including contract manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics providers.
  • Strong command of operational systems (e.g., MRP, inventory, production tracking) and how they underpin manufacturing and fulfillment at scale.
  • You thrive in build-phase environments, where the path isn’t paved and momentum matters.
  • You operate at both altitude and ground level, shifting effortlessly between strategic planning and daily problem-solving.
  • You bring clarity and discipline in chaotic contexts, helping others prioritize, deliver, and improve.
  • You coach teams through change by setting clear standards and reinforcing accountability, not just adding headcount.
  • You design with scale in mind, navigating scrappy workarounds while actively building toward automation and stability.
Responsibilities
  • Own the full operational lifecycle, from supplier sourcing to product delivery, with accountability for cost, quality, and throughput.
  • Design and implement scalable processes for supply chain, inventory management, manufacturing, fulfillment, and logistics.
  • Lead the evolution from human-led to semi-automated operations in collaboration with our automation and AI teams.
  • Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy, including vendor selection, negotiation, and long-term relationship management.
  • Build operational resilience through supply redundancy, quality standards, and risk mitigation practices.
  • Oversee warehousing, inventory planning, and fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction at scale.
  • Lead the rollout of planning, MRP, inventory tracking, and order management systems.
  • Partner with technical teams to integrate automation and robotics into key workflows.
  • Ensure systems are fit-for-scale, interoperable, and drive actionable operational insights.
  • Build and lead a high-performing operations team.
  • Set performance expectations and accountability standards across both internal teams and external partners.

What Eli Health does: It builds a home hormone monitoring system for women’s reproductive health. How it works: a saliva sample is measured by a patent-pending point-of-care device, with a companion app that analyzes hormone data using algorithms to identify fertile days and overall reproductive health; consumables are required as part of a subscription. How it differs from competitors: it offers at-home, non-invasive hormone monitoring with a recurring subscription model and proprietary consumables, plus personalized insights from hormone data to guide conception or contraception decisions. What the goal is: to provide reliable, convenient reproductive health monitoring and decision support while creating a steady revenue stream through ongoing consumables and services.
