Requirements
  • Previous experience leading within a service delivery environment.
  • Previous experience and comfort working with technology in a service delivery environment, with the ability to adapt to new technology as it is launched.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of, and previous experience delivering, exceptional service.
  • Competent user of the Microsoft Office package.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work on-site in the office five days a week.
  • Ability to work in the welcome space, client space, and office floors rather than in a desk-based role.
  • Ability to motivate team performance and handle difficult personnel conversations.
  • Ability to lead exceptional customer-focused service delivery in varied circumstances and environments.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively, introduce change, prioritize needs, and react quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and provide a user-focused service experience that exceeds expectations in line with the Avison Young solution.
  • Lead and support teams in delivering the Ambassador job scope and completing all service areas to a high standard.
  • Ensure immaculate presentation and professional team demeanour across operational spaces.
  • Prioritize the welcome experience, visitor processing, and onward visitor journey.
  • Ensure team coverage is always available to greet, engage, or bid farewell to visitors.
  • Engage with hosts to increase pre-booked visitors and improve arrival experiences.
  • Use technology across visitor management, resource booking, concierge support, and lifestyle provisions.
  • Manage the Visitor Management system, including settings, onboarding, and permissions, to deliver an effective visitor check-in experience.
  • Notify hosts immediately of visitor arrivals and follow up within a suitable timeframe.
  • Manage meeting-room system requirements, including allocation, pricing amendments, and invoicing.
  • Manage conference and meeting-room enquiries and facilitate meetings, including room turnarounds and standards.
  • Oversee the team’s management of VIP visits.
  • Attend the quarterly Occupiers Forum and present on behalf of Workplace Experience.
  • Manage team holiday calendars and ensure adequately trained resources are available for every shift.
  • Complete appraisals and development plans for all direct reports and review them regularly.
  • Implement performance or conduct improvement plans and keep the line manager informed.
  • Maintain daily visibility to support service delivery and oversee team performance.
  • Support resolution of maintenance and cleanliness issues with the Estate Facilities Management team.
  • Ensure team compliance with Health and Safety policies, procedures, safe systems of work, and annual risk-assessment reviews.
  • Act as the appointed first-aid and fire-marshal representative and ensure team members are trained and certified.
  • Provide proactive information-technology support and setup both in person and remotely.
  • Ensure the team completes daily opening and closing audits.
  • Advocate for change and support the introduction of new initiatives.
  • Support job-description upkeep and recruitment activity within the remit.
  • Facilitate user and stakeholder engagement meetings with the line manager when appropriate.
  • Drive the monthly surprise-and-delight employee-experience events programme and annual agenda.
  • Maintain current working knowledge of front-of-house policies, procedures, systems, and tools and continuously modernize processes.
  • Manage probationary periods for direct reports and ensure induction and Experience training are completed.
  • Resolve challenges and complaints, escalating to the line manager where required, and implement long-term corrective solutions.
  • Complete absence-management requirements in line with company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including GDPR, bribery, bullying and harassment, and unconscious bias policies.
  • Participate in client visits and prospective occupier show rounds and coordinate with letting agents to prepare office space.
  • Portray the Avison Young Ambassador role at all times.
