Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills – able to communicate effectively both internally and externally, verbally and in writing, as well as at different levels of an organization
  • Commercially focused with a proactive service-oriented approach
  • Able to build and maintain strong internal and external working relationships
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office at intermediate to advanced level), particularly MS Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ideally AAT qualified or working towards an accounting qualification
  • Managing of own workload and collaboration with your team to ensure consistent service levels
  • Good understanding of general accounting principles relating to the sales ledger and experience in accounts receivable
  • Role will require occasional travel to various WPP companies (these are also based in central London)
  • There may also be a requirement to work additional hours occasionally due to tight deadlines and month-end processes.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for end to end, bill to pay for a group of key complex customers. Manage billing activities to ensure billing for those customers is complete, accurate, in the required customer format and is submitted in a timely manner
  • Attend client meetings to discuss billing and cash collection reviews
  • Support WPP SSC India billing team, to ensure they work effectively with internal and external customers on billing queries, supporting documents, contractual changes, client liaison, prospective sales, and timely cash collections
  • Support WPP SSC India to ensure service delivery is maintained in accordance with the Target Operating Model and documented Service Levels and Key Performance Indicators and identify areas of success and areas of concern
  • Support and assist with SOX audits as well as other internal/external audits
  • Work with the Senior Billing Specialist to onboard clients and work with agencies to exit clients. In addition, support with testing, implementing, and documenting process improvements.
