Requirements
  • At least 8 years of related procurement, category management, or specialized technical experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field is required.
  • Negotiation and analytical skills are required.
  • Experience working with sourcing, contracting, and procure-to-pay suites such as Oracle, Coupa, or SAP Ariba is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Research suppliers using a variety of usual and unusual sources.
  • Confer with suppliers to obtain product or service information, including price, availability, and delivery schedules, from a total cost of ownership perspective.
  • Plan and strategize for assigned indirect procurement non-purchase-order categories, including technology, facilities, professional business services, private destinations, product development, consulting, legal, financial services, human resources, marketing, and external staffing.
  • Perform complex price analysis involving multiple variables.
  • Use analysis, forecasting, problem solving, and quality improvement to develop strategies for dynamic market conditions.
  • Develop procurement and negotiation strategies based on complex variables.
  • Negotiate price, availability, quality, service, and delivery schedules.
  • Make negotiation decisions in high-volatility situations using market variables and limited guidelines for price and availability.
  • Analyze and incorporate market data into negotiations, strategies, and plans for the relevant indirect procurement categories.
  • Communicate and present strategies, plans, and cost impacts to upper management.
  • Perform strategic sourcing by launching and managing competitive request-for-proposal processes in accordance with procurement policy for values above $100,000.
  • Measure and evaluate suppliers under a supplier relationship management program.
  • Contribute to company supply chain and procurement policies.
  • Implement and drive change.
  • Manage categories through the strategic sourcing process by developing category strategies, managing stakeholders, and pursuing value-creation targets.
  • Oversee a multimillion-dollar category spend.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned by a supervisor or management.
  • Travel domestically and internationally, up to 25% as necessary.

Royal Caribbean completes $1.25B bond offering to refinance debt

Royal Caribbean Group has completed a registered public offering of $1.25 billion in senior unsecured notes due 2034. The notes, which carry a 5.550% interest rate, will mature on 20 January 2034 unless redeemed earlier. The cruise operator plans to use the net proceeds primarily to repay part of its outstanding floating rate term loan facilities. Any remaining funds will go towards repaying or refinancing other existing debt. BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BofA Securities, Inc., and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. served as lead book-running managers for the offering. The notes were sold pursuant to an automatic shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 29 February 2024. Royal Caribbean Group operates 71 ships across three wholly owned brands.
