Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Ensure employees, board members, clients, contractors and other third parties, assets (including information assets), operations and facilities are safeguarded from potential compromise or harm.
  • Ensure that the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information is preserved.
  • Enable the business to operate securely, efficiently and cost-effectively in alignment with RBC’s enterprise risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
  • Outline the responsibilities for those who have custody of RBC or customer physical assets, including information or information systems or for those who ensure the safety of RBC related people or premises.
  • Accountable for building a regional strategic and comprehensive Physical Security Protection Strategy that implements policies and processes that enable consistent, effective security practices while minimizing risk and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, privacy and safety of RBC systems and employees.
  • Responsible for the execution of the Regional Physical Security Protection Strategy (e.g. program roadmaps, technology vision, investments, operating model, etc.) aligned with RBC’s strategic objectives.
  • Maintain in-depth awareness and understanding of current and emerging trends in Physical Security to inform strategy.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on security to ensure compliance and adherence to RBC policy, and standards and regulatory requirements regionally to stakeholders (LOB’s, Customers 2nd/3rd lines of defense teams).
  • Responsible to drive the integration/collaboration of the Physical Security Protection program with enterprise risk and threat management functions (Cyber/Fraud/CIS etc.).
  • Ensure Physical Security Protection Strategy remains aligned to Future of Work requirements and the changes to employee working environment(s) (Home/Office).
  • Builds a committed, capable and diverse workforce. Integrates effective performance management, employee development, talent management, succession planning, reward & recognition and diversity routines into day-to-day management practices.
  • Provides leadership and direction and establishes a culture and work environment that attracts, retains and motivates a diverse, skilled workforce creating a working environment of high employee engagement.
  • Drives improvements and ensures efficiency and effectiveness of team.
  • Leads the execution of a complex, regional security programs utilizing a deep specialized knowledge of security practices as the subject matter expert.
  • Develops the Regional Security programs (Travel Risk, High Risk Individual Protection, Security/Safety Incident Management & Response, Identity & Access Management, Threat Intelligence, and Third Party) and enhances operational processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensures security procedures/process are reviewed, current and sustainable.
  • Establish security awareness and training to promote and embed appropriate physical security behavior across the organization and to its clients.
  • Monitor metrics to ensure program effectiveness, compliance against standards and deliver reporting to provide ongoing assurance to senior and executive management.
  • Lead a team of professionals who continuously monitor for physical security threats and take action to identify, detect and protect.

Mundys secures $2.3B sustainability-linked credit facility extended to 2030

Mundys has signed an amendment and restatement of its revolving credit facility, securing a €2 billion sustainability-linked financing with extension until July 2030. The transaction aims to strengthen the company's financial structure in line with sustainable growth objectives. The facility was subscribed by a broad pool of Italian and international banks, including Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, Banco BPM, Banco Santander, Bank of America, Barclays, BNP Paribas, BPER Banca, Crédit Agricole CIB, Deutsche Bank, ING, Intesa Sanpaolo, J.P. Morgan, Mediobanca, Natixis CIB, Royal Bank of Canada, SMBC Bank EU AG Milan Branch, Société Générale and UniCredit. Legance advised the lending pool with a team led by partner Giovanni Scirocco, supported by counsel Giuseppe D'Amore and associate Clementina Colombo.

ARRAY Technologies expands revolving credit facility to $370M and extends maturity to 2031

ARRAY Technologies, a global provider of solar tracking technology, has increased its revolving credit facility from $166 million to $370 million and extended the maturity date from October 2028 to February 2031. The amended facility includes up to $250 million available for letters of credit. Goldman Sachs Bank USA served as lead arranger and administrative agent, with participation from JP Morgan, Wells Fargo Securities, PNC Capital Markets and HSBC Bank USA. The company welcomed three new lenders to its syndicate. The enhanced facility will support operational execution, working capital needs and global growth initiatives. Chief financial officer Keith Jennings said the expansion demonstrates lender confidence in the company's strategy and position as a global leader in utility-scale solar.

Royal Bank of Canada completes $1B offering of limited recourse capital notes

Royal Bank of Canada has completed a US$1 billion registered offering of 6.500% Limited Recourse Capital Notes, Series 8. The notes were issued on 30 January 2026 and will mature on 24 May 2086. Concurrently, RBC issued 1 million Non Cumulative 5 year Fixed Rate Reset First Preferred Shares, Series CA, held by Computershare Trust Company of Canada. RBC Capital Markets, Citigroup Global Markets, J.P. Morgan Securities, Morgan Stanley and UBS Securities acted as lead managers and joint bookrunners for the offering. Norton Rose Fulbright served as Canadian co-counsel to RBC on the transaction.
