Requirements
  • At least 3 years of call center technology experience.
  • Experience managing high-volume, business-critical platforms in a large enterprise IT department across geographically dispersed environments.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and motivate staff in a growing, flexible, fast-paced environment using diverse approaches and methodologies.
  • Working experience with software development lifecycle and service management processes, including Scrum, RUP, Waterfall, and ITIL.
  • At least 5 years of experience coordinating outage support efforts with senior leadership, multiple teams, and vendors.
  • At least 5 years of proven leadership and management success.
  • At least 5 years of proven relationship-building success.
  • At least 5 years of coaching, mentoring, goal building, and goal-setting success.
  • Telecommunications experience, preferably wireless.
  • Experience managing vendor performance.
  • Experience partnering with customers and cross-functional internal teams.
  • IT management support experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting production applications and managing trouble tickets.
  • Proven experience working directly with business and vendor partners on operational issues and communicating effectively with senior management and geographically dispersed internal customers.
  • A minimum four-year degree or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee a large call center technology infrastructure environment supporting high-volume customer calls and financial transactions.
  • Lead a team of individual contributors responsible for daily operational support.
  • Partner with Call Center Infrastructure Design and business teams to execute the broader customer service strategy.
  • Oversee operations to ensure reliability, timeliness, and productivity.
  • Develop and execute strategic tasks and goals for process improvement.
  • Maintain a working environment that promotes productivity, responsiveness, staff morale, motivation, and excellence.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to plan objectives and strategy, comply with professional standards, and address business risks.
  • Review, coordinate, and manage work performed by the team.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and manage expectations regarding services, work products, timing, and value delivered.
  • Identify technological developments and evaluate their impacts on the business.
  • Use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.
  • Develop, enhance, and implement service transaction monitoring capability within the organization.
  • Provide and remain available for 24/7-hour support as required.
  • Direct and communicate with teams during effective outage recovery practices.
  • Develop priorities and objectives for changes to the production environment while maintaining system availability and performance.
Desired Qualifications
  • ITILv2 Service Manager Certification.
  • Wireless telecommunications experience.
