Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Sport Management or be ABD with an anticipated graduation date of no later than May 31, 2026
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in quality research within the relevant academic discipline
  • Evidence of the ability to teach relevant classes
Responsibilities
  • Establish a research program leading to publications in refereed journals in their area of expertise
  • Be an effective and engaging teacher, to make a strong commitment to the development of innovative curricula, to advise and mentor undergraduates in pursuit of their academic and professional goals, and to collaborate with colleagues to increase student success
  • The primary teaching needs are in sport sales and sponsorship and revenue generation
  • The typical teaching load is two courses per semester at the undergraduate level for the first two years, after which you will teach a load of three courses one semester and two courses one semester
  • Participate in the maintenance of AACSB accreditation and remain academically qualified
  • Participate in service to the school, university, and community and foster collaborative relationships with the business community
Desired Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Sport Management from an AACSB-accredited business program
  • Evidence of potential to publish research in quality academic journals
  • Documented evidence of quality teaching in Sport Management
  • Relevant professional certification(s)
  • 3 or more years of relevant professional experience in industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
