Position Overview
As the Associate, Project Controls Cost & Scheduling, you will be responsible for managing project scheduling for large offshore and onshore projects, supporting project budgeting, supporting monthly financial reporting, and support of Project Management during project development and construction phases. The Associate role will be heavily focused on collaborating with key stakeholders to maintain an updated project schedule, support procurement processes, and support budget forecasting and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and maintain complex project schedules, identifying relationships, logic, milestones, durations, and constraints for major offshore and onshore projects. Correlate schedule and scope changes with project impacts.
- Own the baseline schedule and work with internal and external stakeholders on updates. Including coordination with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to analyze updates to overall project schedule.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to analyze the project’s latest schedule durations, schedule updates, Estimate at Completion cost forecast, reconcile project expenditures, and lead monthly budget management reviews.
- Provide Earned Value analysis and other progress reporting functions
- Perform monthly project schedule, cost and variance analysis reporting to the team and management’s review to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
- Perform QA/QC on project schedules to ensure alignment and compliance with scope and business needs.
- Monitor and proactively identify schedule risks, financial risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies to ensure the project is executed within schedule and budget.
- Support project financial activity of purchasing processes including setting up new suppliers, creating purchase requisitions, managing purchase orders, invoicing, and ensure timely payment distributions in Oracle Fusion.
- Support the control and monitoring of project total expenditures including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports, as directed by management
- Run and manage schedule and cost review meetings.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, finance, construction, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Engineering, Project Controls, Project Management, or Project Finance.
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Skills
- EcoSys and Oracle Fusion experience preferred
- Project Management Institute (PMI) or relevant certifications preferred
- PowerBI experience preferred
- Netpoint and MSProject experience preferred
- Excellent problem solving skills, teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions and follow tasks to completion with minimal direction.
- Earned Value Analysis and scheduling experience in Primavera P6.
- Experience with project coordination and management of projects with multiple levels of interface between vendors, internal staff, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and analytical abilities.
- Willingness to spend time on an active construction sites.
- Able to travel up to 10% of the time.
