Requirements
  • A Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Science, Cyber Security, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related role, or a Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in one of those fields and three years of experience.
  • One year of experience with a Master's degree or three years with a Bachelor's degree applying risk frameworks, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Experience performing statistically driven analysis using data-analytic techniques to identify trends and propose process enhancements.
  • Experience visualizing complex analyses from raw data in risk-management reports using tools such as Tableau and communicating results to varied audiences.
  • Experience leveraging analytics and automation to enhance testing and sampling strategies for effective risk detection and analysis.
  • Experience developing processes and tools to identify and monitor data accuracy.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute division-wide Risk and Control Self-Assessment initiatives across the global enterprise in alignment with U.S. and international regulatory standards.
  • Conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments across engineering processes, including software development life cycle, continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and production change management.
  • Partner with engineering teams to identify operational and compliance risks, including technology operations, information security and cyber, third-party, data privacy, records management, and regulatory reporting integrity risks.
  • Drive the review and optimization of analytical tools and dashboards for assessing, visualizing, and reporting Risk and Control Self-Assessment and Sarbanes-Oxley Act mandates.
  • Design, document, and operationalize preventive and detective controls within engineering workflows, including automated policy-as-code, pipeline gates, and access-provisioning checks.
  • Use generative artificial intelligence tools to automate control-evidence collection and summarization, draft policies and risk assessments, prepare audit responses, and triage and classify incidents and risk events at scale.
  • Triage operational incidents and near-misses originating from engineering systems and perform root-cause analysis with site reliability engineering and engineering leads.
  • Coordinate responses to internal audit findings and second-line-of-defense challenges related to engineering processes.
  • Prepare materials for Engineering Risk Committees and senior-management forums and translate technical risk into business language.
  • Promote a strong risk culture through training, lunch-and-learns, and onboarding for new engineers.
  • Uplift the risk taxonomy to reflect changes in the Engineering Division's risk profile and identify new controls to mitigate gaps in risk exposure.
  • Recommend best practices for designing and executing control testing within engineering areas and validate remediation of system-control weaknesses using data analysis, code review, re-performance of processing logic, observation, and interviews.

ByteDance's $20B loan attracts $30B in orders to fund AI expansion

ByteDance has attracted over $30 billion in orders for a $20 billion offshore syndicated loan, representing 1.5 times oversubscription. The three-year facility, extendable to five years, marks the TikTok parent company's largest syndicated loan to date. This continues ByteDance's pattern of scaling up its borrowing. Flexential secures $800M to develop 130+ MW of data centre capacity across four US markets

Flexential has secured an $800 million credit facility to fund data centre development across four US markets. The financing will support more than 130 MW of new capacity, including facilities under construction in Atlanta-Douglasville (36 MW), Portland-Hillsboro (36 MW), and Denver-Parker (22.5 MW). The facility was oversubscribed and increased 60% from an initial $500 million target. It is backed by an 11-bank syndicate, with TD Securities as administrative agent. The funding complements equity investment from Flexential's sponsors, GI Partners and MSIP. CEO Ryan Mallory said the financing enables the company to invest ahead of enterprise and AI-driven infrastructure demand. Flexential operates 40 data centres across 18 markets in the US.
