Requirements
  • BS in a relevant engineering discipline
  • 5+ years certification experience with FAA, EASA, or other regulatory agencies
  • Expertise with aircraft regulations (14 CFR Part 21, 23, 27, 33, and/or 36)
  • Experience with type certification programs for aircraft, rotorcraft, and/or engines
  • Comfortable working with a team of certification engineers, DER’s, systems engineers, and design engineers
  • Knowledge of Application Life Cycle Management Software (DOORS, Polarion, JAMA, JIRA, etc)
  • Experience in Type Certification Program Planning
  • Familiarity with FAA Order 8110.4C, ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-160, DO-178
  • MOC test generation and execution
Responsibilities
  • Plan, build, and manage the certification strategy, artifacts, and timelines
  • Review hardware, electrical, and mechanical designs for projects and aircraft systems
  • Work with design engineers to enhance existing prototypes and new designs
