A Brief Overview
RGA is seeking an experienced finance leader to join our team as the Vice President, Strategic Planning and Forecasting. This role will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s financial strategy by leading the development of financial models to support long-term strategic planning and capital allocation. This role leads a team to support financial analysis and strategic planning.
What you will do
- Financial Modeling:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and scenario planning.
- Integrate forecasting tools across financial, capital, and tax planning functions.
- Drive continuous improvement to streamline forecasting processes and enhance data quality.
- Represent the FP&A organization in enterprise financial transformation initiatives.
- Financial Analysis and Optimization:
- Conduct strategic analysis to identify opportunities to optimize financial performance and identify areas for growth.
- Monitor and analyze broader financial markets and competitive landscape within the insurance industry, both domestically and globally.
- Provide insights on market trends, competitive positioning, and potential risks and opportunities.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of financial analysts and strategic planners.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the team.
- Recruit and retain top talent to strengthen the FP&A organization.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience including financial planning and analysis or management consulting
- Experience leading high-performing teams and working in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
- Experience with financial systems and tools, including financial planning software, including advanced Excel skills
- Understanding of financial markets and regulatory capital management, preferably with experience in the insurance sector.

Compensation Range:
$146,950.00 - $218,950.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
