Responsibilities
  • Work with editorial director, event co-chairs and editors to develop program direction, format, and themes and identify best possible speakers.
  • Bring big, new ideas on how to elevate programming for certain events including thinking beyond the stage i.e.: experiential elements, gifting, attendee experience and more.
  • Oversee and manage freelancers such as program directors, managers and script writers as needed per event (needs for independent contractors may ebb and flow depending on company or sponsorship investment)
  • Participate in weekly FLM update meetings and/or related meetings and calls.
  • Schedule and direct bi-weekly (or as needed) calls with programming team and cochairs for each individual event.
  • Provide weekly program and speaker recruitment updates to FLM team for weekly updates.
  • Prepare and/or edit relevant text and overview documents to be used in marketing materials, including program overviews, session descriptions, format descriptions, and other information required to convey program plans.
  • Recruit and secure approved speakers and moderators (with internal support and support of co-chairs).
  • Manage independent contractors to assist with sponsored content, manage all programmatic elements (video, images etc.) for sessions, briefing preparation, presentation coaching, and overall project management (in lead up, and on site).
  • Work closely with speaker relations lead to coordinate logistical elements with speakers and prepare briefing documents (in lead up, and on site).
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of all speaker and moderating confirmation documents, including final agenda, briefings and other materials.
  • Oversee planning and execution of program elements on-site, at event including meeting of speakers/handlers, attending staff and/or production meetings, etc.
  • Participate in post-event debrief meetings and strategize on how to continue to build the franchise w/ VP of programming and other members of leadership team.
