  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 4-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering or mechanical design for innovative product development, R&D, manufacturing, fabrication or related fields
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Adept at solving complex structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics challenges utilizing advanced techniques and software
  • Proficient in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using relevant software tools including ANSYS, LS-DYNA, Nastran, Radioss, or similar
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of materials selection, stress analysis, and thermal design
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Creative thinking and a passion for innovation in mechanical design
  • PE not required
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan, design, and execute large industrial capital projects in the power generation sector.
  • Mechanical design, authoring technical reports, and generating analysis requirements for components
  • Contribute to designing and analyzing tanks, pressure vessels, pumps, heat exchangers and other related components
  • Integrating various mechanical systems and components to ensure they work together seamlessly
  • Assemble, calibrate, and test hardware prototypes at the bench top scale and oversee these activities for third party contractors at the full scale
  • Designing fixtures and tooling to aid in the assembly, testing, and manufacturing processes
  • Optimize designs for ease of manufacturing, which includes considering assembly methods, tolerances, and minimizing manufacturing complexities
