Senior Automation Engineer

So, what’s the role all about?

We are looking for an experienced QA professional with a strong background in testing distributed systems. The ideal candidate can work independently, has strong experience with test automation, has worked on testing AI/ML based software or has good understanding of AI/ML domain, and is self-driven to ensure high-quality software delivery. Candidate should be well-versed in Python. You will be working in multidisciplinary team with other professionals delivering high quality and secure software within an Agile delivery framework. The role will be based in Pune, India. Extensive collaboration and communication with US based teams will be a key part of the job, so excellent communication skills are critical.

How will you make an impact?

• Design and execute test plans for functional, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Python in Selenium/equivalent test automation tool
• Perform manual testing where necessary to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects effectively.
• Participate in code reviews and advocate for QA best practices.
• Ensure efficient use of tools and processes, including version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• Continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies to improve quality and reliability.
• Participate and contribute to team Scrum ceremonies.
• Create and maintain the required documentation.
• Is a team player.

Have you got what it takes?

• 6+ years of experience in software testing, with 3+ years in automated testing of Angular applications.
• Hands-on experience with Python as scripting language, with Selenium/equivalent test automation tool
• Strong understanding of test automation design patterns, tools, and creating tools/scripts for testing using Python.
• ISTQB certification (or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience in creating clear test plans, scripts, and reporting results.
• Practical experience in manual and automated testing across UI, business logic, data access, and APIs.
• Experience in API/Web Services Testing using tools like Postman.
• Familiarity with cross-browser and non-functional testing strategies.
• Proficient in SQL and Jenkins for CI/CD.

You will have an advantage if you also have:

Experience in Playwright

Familiarity and/or experience with public cloud infrastructures and technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Performance testing of API and UI based applications.
