Senior React Developer

Project at a major investment bank requires a Senior ReactJS Developer to join their front office risk management team delivering solutions that manage real-time, credit and market risk solutions for fixed income, fx and derivatives trading.

As the React Developer you will build a new trader facing platform for execution, risk calculations and associated regulatory reporting using Typescript/Javascript and React technologies, with involvement in the full development cycle in an Agile (Scrum) approach.

As a React Developer your main responsibilities will involve:

• Working within a distributed Agile team
• Liaising with Business Analysts and end users to go through the requirements & design
• Contributing to functional & technical design
• Write requirements using Specification By Examples (SBE), automated tests & deliver software
• Build excellent relationships across technology and user communities
• Mentor less experienced team members using methods such as informal training, pair programming etc

As a React Developer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• Extensive experience of React Typescript/Javascript development skills
• Experience in designing and developing significant components of an enterprise application using OO languages such as C++, C#, Python or Java desirable
• Experience in building complex data driven websites aimed towards data analysis.
• Good understanding of Agile and Lean software development practices
• High level of experience in working with and running agile feature teams
• Good OO design skills, knowledge of patterns and architectural understanding
• Experience of service orientated architecture (or microarchitecture)
• Has demonstrated the ability to design and develop manual and automated test plans within an application. Has performed test plan reviews
• Exposure to CI/CD and Test Driven Development (TDD) as well as regression and integration testing
• Working knowledge of products, services, business flows and understanding of financial context in which technology and operating principles are used within their business area
• Experience as a Technical Team Lead or Architect would be ideal
• Experience with Tableau would be valuable.
