Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain operations, specifically in carrier management or within a courier.
  • Proven experience interacting successfully with internal and external stakeholders, including third-party suppliers.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to achieve results.
  • Strong logical problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to use data from various sources to analyze performance and challenge contractors and couriers.
  • Good competency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience working within an enterprise resource planning or material requirements planning system.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain comprehensive records and provide regular reports on inbound and outbound shipments, inventory levels, returns, and overall logistics performance.
  • Manage the courier return process, including handling returns and coordinating with partners, finance, and customer service.
  • Oversee return inventory processes, including disposition and refurbishment.
  • Identify inefficiencies in the returns process and develop measures to reduce them.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, partners, and third-party logistics partners to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.
  • Identify logistics and supply chain process improvements, collaborate with internal teams and logistics partners to implement enhancements, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Act as the point of escalation and resolution for day-to-day service failures.
  • Plan inbound collections, Yorkes, pallets, and returns, and communicate plans to the hubs.
  • Handle service escalations through the monthly review process, using courier data and customer service insights to resolve live issues.
  • Monitor and track delivery success using industry data to assess performance against best-in-class standards.
  • Analyze invoices with finance and fulfillment operations to verify that the correct service types and shipping methods are charged, and challenge discrepancies effectively.
  • Maintain a robust refund and replacement claims process to collect credits for failed deliveries up to contractual requirements.
  • Investigate and address safety or conduct issues involving delivery drivers or couriers.
  • Use courier data to analyze delivery failures and work with courier partners to improve performance.
  • Compare courier delivery-performance data with customer-service data views.
  • Present weekly and monthly service and cost performance reports to supply chain leadership.
  • Work with the product team on courier-management-system solutions and dashboards.
