Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, related field)
  • Understanding of RF and EE fundamentals
  • 3+ year of experience in an RF engineering role
  • Familiarity with RF analysis tools such as AWR and HFSS
  • Experience with PCB design
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment and measurement techniques
  • Understanding of digital communication systems fundamentals
  • Master's Degree in RF Engineering or similar specialty
  • 5+ years experience in an RF engineering role
  • Experience driving design efforts
  • Experience with antenna pattern analysis
  • Experience with RF measurement equipment and techniques
  • Experience designing electronics for space or medical applications
  • Industry experience in RF component manufacturing & test
  • Experience with RF sensor design and underlying EM Physics
  • Experience with FCC and other product certification processes
  • Applicant must be willing to work 40 hours a week on-site in Redmond, Washington, USA
  • Applicant must be eligible to work on ITAR projects

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of RF hardware designs from concept through delivery
  • Derive and manage requirements, RF hardware specification, and system architecture for RF systems and RF blocks
  • Drive the design of complex RF systems
  • Generate and manage RF budgets and line up analysis
  • Simulate RF systems and components using hand calculations as well as industry standard tools such as AWR and VSS
  • Develop and drive the testing of RF components and systems
  • Participate in design reviews of hardware and provide improvements to electronic system design processes
  • Prepare reports and other associated documentation for project and program level reviews
  • Help SOE develop processes and best practices around RF engineering
