Requirements
  • Extensive experience operating all types of road construction and mining equipment.
  • Willingness and ability to work in camp-based and remote settings for extended periods.
  • Strong leadership and crew management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Site Superintendents and other management staff.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
  • A strong understanding of construction safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions in the field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
  • Operate a wide variety of road construction and mining equipment as required.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and mentorship to crew members.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans.
  • Communicate with Site Superintendents regarding progress, challenges, and staffing needs.
  • Assist with job planning, task coordination, and productivity tracking.
  • Enforce company safety policies and participate in safety meetings and inspections.
  • Manage crews independently when Site Superintendents are unavailable.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Working Foreman or Lead Hand role.
