Requirements
- 5+ years of product design and/or user research experience
- Experience with creating and maintaining design systems
- Able to provide a demonstrable portfolio of design work executed by yourself or a team you were part of
- Experience with a variety of user experience design and research tools and software (eg, Figma, Sketch, InVision, Storybook, Balsamiq etc)
- Proficiency in communicating through compelling storytelling and data driven proof points to influence product user experience strategy within the larger organization
Responsibilities
- Take ownership over the design system process to be used across the platform, while collaborating with and educating other members of the design team
- Lead the platform team in design and development of UI components, style and language guidelines for company-wide use
- Publish and maintain a documentation site for Design System users
- Manage the backlog and roadmap of library features and deliver Design System releases
- Identify high-impact tools and technologies for the UX Design System
- Foster a community with open channels of communication to actively seek feedback and improve iteratively
- Proactively work across UX design teams and software development teams
- Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and senior leadership team to build a world class user experience and communicate our user experience vision
- Help shape team culture and inspire other designers to do their best work
