Cyderes acquires Lucidum to strengthen identity-aware security data foundation. Managed cybersecurity services company Cyderes LLC today announced that it has acquired security data fabric and entity intelligence firm Lucidum Inc. for an undisclosed price. Founded in 2020, Lucidum offers a security data fabric platform that is designed to give organizations a comprehensive, real-time view of their digital environment. The company has an aim to eliminate the blind spots that arise when security, information technology operations and cloud teams work with fragmented, siloed data. Lucidum ingests data from hundreds of disparate sources across an enterprise, including cloud services, on-premises systems, identity stores and endpoint telemetry and normalizes it into a unified, continuously updated graph of assets, identities, relationships and configurations. The "data fabric" approach moves beyond simple aggregation by providing the context and linkage needed for security teams to understand how users, devices, applications and permissions interrelate. Under the hood, Lucidum's platform leverages machine learning, large-scale entity resolution and patented inference techniques that automatically reconcile differences in naming, ownership and classification across systems. The result is a high-fidelity representation of what exists in an organization's digital ecosystem, including previously unknown or unmanaged assets, to allow teams to uncover risks that traditional tools might miss. Lucidum also supports integrations with services from Splunk Inc., Elastic N.V., Chronicle LLC, Sentinel, Sumo Logic Inc. and CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. The acquisition provides Cyderes with a unified, identity-aware foundation that will strengthen its existing solutions while also setting the stage for greater output across existing agentic AI offerings. Lucidum's tech will also support the development of advanced AI-driven remediation workflows for Cyderes clients. "Effective defense requires clarity, consistency and context," said Cyderes Chief Executive Chris Schueler. "Lucidum's data fabric gives us the shared foundation necessary to unify that context across every environment we protect." By making Lucidum the entity fabric across its portfolio, Cyderes says, it's now well-positioned to deliver stronger identity and access management programs, enhanced data-driven exposure management, higher fidelity managed detection and response investigations and AI-driven decision support and agentic automation. Lucidum will continue to support its existing customers, who will now have the option to leverage Cyderes' MDR, IAM, exposure management and broader managed security services on top of the Lucidum data fabric. Coming into its acquisition, Lucidum had raised $19 million across two rounds, according to data from Tracxn. Investors in the company included Point72 Ventures, SVCI and GGV Capital Management. Cyderes, a global managed cybersecurity services provider, has acquired Lucidum, a security data fabric and entity intelligence company. The acquisition aims to create a unified, identity-aware foundation to strengthen Cyderes' existing solutions and support AI-driven remediation workflows. Lucidum's data fabric technology addresses a critical challenge in cybersecurity: fragmented data across identity systems, assets, cloud environments and endpoint telemetry. According to Cisco's Security Outcomes Report, over half of security teams cite disconnected data as a top challenge, limiting incident investigation and exposure understanding. The acquisition comes as attackers increasingly use automated reconnaissance and AI to exploit security gaps. Lucidum's platform unifies identity, assets, privileges and exposures into a continuously updated view of an organisation's environment, helping defenders match sophisticated threats.
